Abstract: ["An account is given of the development of the important lichen herbarium in Wroclaw (formerly Breslau) University, Poland (WRSL) since its establishment in 1821, with particular reference to its movements during the period 1944-1948." In 1978, the herbarium contained about 21, 000 packets, and the author estimates that approximately one half of the collection was lost during the 1944-1948 period. Included in the report are lists of lichen collectors and geographical regions of the world represented.]
