Abstract: 3 plates. 1 figure. [Discussion of the relationships among Cornicularia, Cetraria, Bryocaulon, and Coelocaulon. Protein-banding patterns using isoelectric focusing techniques are discussed. "The constructed phenogram from simple matching coefficients of the protein-banding patterns from the different samples supports the close biochemical affinities between Coelocaulon and Cetraria subgenus Cetraria. The monotypical genus Cornicularia differs markedly regarding several important characteristics and suggests a close relationship to the other discussed groups."]
