Gyromitra longipes Harmaja reported for the first time from Norway.

Gyromitra longipes Harmaja (Pezizales, Helvellaceae) is reported for the first time from Norway. Five specimens were found during a fieldtrip to Oppland, Ringebu in 2000. The species is previously known from a single Finnish record in 1979, upon which the original description was published. A description of G. longipes is given, and the concordance with the Finnish record discussed. Due to its macroscopical and seasonal similarities with G. esculenta, the species may have been overlooked.
