RASC (Ranking and Scaling) is useful for the construction of average event (LAD's or FAD's) positions and average stratigraphic ranges of deep water agglutinated benthic foraminifera (DWAF).

RASC zonations were constructed for large data sets with numerous DWAF taxa in Barents Sea, off Mid Norway, North Sea, and Labrador Shelf and Grand Banks. For information please consult the 'Atlas of Paleogene Cosmopolitan Deep-Water Agglutinated Foraminifera' by M.A.Kaminski and F.M.Gradstein and collaborators (2005; Grzybowski Foundation Special Publication no.10, 548 p., 129 plates and 46 figures).

This Grzybowski Memoir # 10 in 2007 received the Best Book Award from the Romanian Paleontological Society.
